Crowd sourcing, Customer co-creation n all that ...

One of the interesting things that has happened over the last 2 weeks is the amount of jargon we have come across for what we do. :P

Yeah well ... all the chaos that happens at Inkfruit is called crowd-sourcing - i.e. a collaborative movement where the 'crowd' (thats all of you) provide us with what is to be printed/produced! :)

Its also called customer c0-creation. Some people were even using initials like UGC ... :D ... sounds like cutting edge rocket science doesn't it?! ... UGC is user generated content ...

We've been having a laugh about all of this - I mean at the end of everything its just a bunch of people having fun. And words like UGC, crowd sourcing, etc. hardly capture that spirit.

Proto n Inkfruit

We just visited Proto - a get together of most of the startups in India currently. Its an amazing place to meet people and get a snapshot of what kind of new products are coming up in the web space (thats all we would be interested in right?)

Twas a lot of fun ... and extremely useful. There are loads of companies with whom we can work around synergies. One clear benefit is that we can expect loads of benefits being passed on to our users through tie-ups. So all of you on Inkfruit, wait up! Soon there will be loads of freebies and special offers coming your way. :)

Unfortunately, having come across Proto too late for participation this year, we couldn't squeeze ourselves in. Hopefully we will showcase the great stuff being done by people on our website in the next edition happening in Jan 09.

Express India

After a long wait, Inkfruit has come up with a new contest, Express India. On these tees you will get to see our designers express what they think about India.

Political chaos, cricket crazy, super power, freedom struggle, rural, unity in diversity or whatever else.

So keep checking out the designs submitted here.

The winner is to be declared on Independance Day, the 15th of August!

Inkfruit just added a feature to search its database of awesome Tees by topic. :)

So now if you want a design on music, just click the music tab and you get some cool music related designs! If you want a Tee on saving the planet/environment/global warming/etc - just click that tab and you get loads of such Tees to choose from.

Inkfruit moves on ...

Over the last 3 weeks Inkfruit has been featured across loads of blogs, forums and discussion groups. We'd like to thank all the guys for writing about our initiative.

It gives us great satisfaction in seeing designers across India and neighbouring countries use our platform in promoting their creative designs. And even better is to actually see these designs get converted to some really great Tees ... which just fly off from the shelves of the few outlets where we are present in Bombay, India.

Keep up the great work guys ... there are lots of fun events planned on Inkfruit over the next 6 months. Keep coming here to know about it before the rest of the world gets the info ... ;)
